This coming July....

we will be a family of four!!! Casey and I are thrilled to announce we are PREGNANT with baby number two!

Maui

The week before Christmas our little family took off on a wonderful and beautiful get-a-way to Maui!! We weren't quite sure how the trip would be with Cali, but it couldn't have turned out better:) Let me first inform all of you who may not be aware that I am a fanatic about Christmas. I start listening to Christmas music WAY before I should...right after Halloween:0, and I decorate my house not a minute too late...that would be the day after Thanksgiving!! So being in Maui does make me miss the great holiday spirit, but how could I complain. The hotel does do make a great effort in decorating for the season, with Christmas lights and all. Thank goodness!! Here is what we captured from the trip...

Out To Eat For Thanksgiving???

I never would have imagined our little family celebrating Thanksgiving at a restaurant!! Casey's family had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal early this year, so on the actual holiday we celebrated with just the three of us. I could have been ambitious and made a feast for us to enjoy, but I didn't. Instead we decided to dine at the delicious Glitretind at Stein Erikson! It amazed me to see how many families have the tradition of eating out for Thanksgiving. Not a bad idea if you ask me. For one, you get an INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS meal, and two, you don't have to mess with the clean up!!! The only negative would be not having the intimacy you get from having it in a nice, cozy home.

I was a little concerned about how Cali would hold up during the meal, but she did fantastic. I just made sure to keep feeding her the whole time:) I think she was a bit stuffed by the time we left. The ending definitely had to be her favorite, because she was able to indulge in all the yummy desserts! We knew she was enjoying it because she kept making this sound, "ummmm, ummmm!"

Four Unbelievable Years

Four years ago on November 18, 2005 I married the man of my dreams. My life has never been the same and I am so glad!! Casey brings me all the happiness and love I could ever ask for. Thanks babe for being the best! I love you!!!

Casey's Birthday Trip!!

This year for Casey's Birthday I decided to surprise him with a trip! I always have the hardest time figuring out what to get him for a present. If he wants something he'll usually just go and get it for himself, which doesn't leave me with many gift ideas. One of Casey's favorite past times is watching college football. We always talk about going to USC, LSU, Oregon, or any other big time school to watch a game. Well my plan was to buy tickets to the USC Stanford game and stay a few days in Laguna Beach. I was going to surprise him with the trip about a week in advance, but I couldn't keep the secret! I was WAY too excited!! So I gave him a card with the tickets to the game, and he was completely surprised.

We left last Wednesday and arrived late that night. The hotel was spectacular!! The Montage at Laguna Beach...a must stay if ever visiting the area! Our time was spent relaxing in the room, ordering room service, shopping on South Coastal Hwy that was filled with unique and eclectic shops, dining in at unbelievably tasty restaurants, walking on the beach, laying out at the pool, and getting pampered at the spa. Every minute was incredible! The best part of course was spending time with each other. My mom was so kind and flew up to watch Cali while we were gone. Thanks mom!!

Happy Birthday babe!!!

Yea...My First Ponytail!

After fourteen months of constantly putting flower headbands on Cali, I can finally do something different!! Cali is not too fond of the flower headbands, so most of the time she would rip them off leaving her looking like a boy:( I felt bad for her every time people would stop us and talk about what a cute boy she was...ahhhh. Oh well, at least they thought she was cute.

Oh and other exciting news is...she's WALKING!!! We were at the car wash the other day sitting around waiting for the car to be finished, when I noticed Cali wasn't around me. All I could here was, "squeak, squeak, squeak". I got soooo excited because I knew that meant she was walking! I got her the cutest squeaker shoes in hopes it would help her start walking. I think it might have worked. She loved the squeaky sound and will smile every time she takes her first step.

A Pumpkin, A Fairy, A Bumblebee and so many more...

Cali and I spent our time yesterday getting ready for a very fun Halloween party. My girlfriend Shelby and her friend Gygi planned it for all of us moms and we enjoyed every minute of it! Yummy candy, Halloween decor, and little games for the kids. What a fun holiday to celebrate!
