A few pics from Cali's 1st week of life!

Cali is the most amazing little newborn!! We love her to death and can't get enough of her. She is a pretty content baby and of course LOVES to sleep! She even sleeps well through the night ... cross your fingers that doesn't change. Casey keeps telling me she looks like him. I don't see it, but I tell him she does because I know that's what he wants to hear:) All I know is that she is beautiful and we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her!!!

What a Wonderful Surprise!

Friday afternoon Casey and I made our way over to the doctor's office to get an ultrasound of Cali, but we surprisingly got more than just an ultrasound. The doctor was a little concerned with how low my amniotic fluid was and decided Cali was going to come that very day! I was a bit overwhelmed to say the least. My first thoughts were ... oh no, Casey has to get all of my overnight things and a cute outfit for Cali to wear home from the hospital!! Well I have to say he impressed me and did very well.

I arrived to the hospital immediately after the doctor's visit and was registered in at about 3:30. The nurse started the potosen  at around 4 and nothing slowed down from there. I asked for the epidural as soon as possible and it was smooth sailing after that. Casey asked the nurse when she thought Cali would arrive and her prediction was around 6a.m. Boy, was she wrong!!!! Cali wasted NO time and came into the world at 10:15 p.m. She was and is the most beautiful miracle I had ever seen! I, of course, cried  and cried and Casey couldn't hold them back either. She weighed in at 6lbs. 14oz. I still look at her and can't believe she fit in my stomach!

Life couldn't be better! Casey and I love Cali more than we ever thought imaginable. Heavenly Father definitely gave us the greatest blessing in life! My brother-in-law Eric said it right, "Heaven seems a little closer having her around."

We're Finally Home...Hooray!!!

After finishing up the summer and being nomads for a few days, we have finally moved in and are loving being back in Utah. This post unfortunately does not have any pictures because all the new ones haven't been uploaded, so this will just be a simple update on what's going on....

We are now living at the Riverwoods and absolutely love it! The reason we were nomads for awhile is because we couldn't move in until the 4th, so to buy some time we took a mini trip up to Park City. Our good friends Brandon and Liz, and Nick and Stacey were so kind and came up on separate nights to hang out with us. The night Nick and Stacey came up we went to the Riverhorse and let me tell you, it was DELICIOUS!! If you haven't already been there, you might want to!

Only three more weeks and Cali arrives! I saw my doctor the other day and he informed me I am 80% effaced and dilated to a 1 1/2.  He thinks she might be coming early, possibly a whole week! I hope she can hold on as long as possible because I am not ready in the least. I guess I better get on that!
